You have received a letter from your English speaking pen friend Vicky, who writes:
…I’m struggling with my German lessons and was wondering if you had any language-learning tips. What’s the best way to improve vocabulary? What do you find most difficult when learning a language? Is it a good idea to visit the country to learn the language and why (or why not)?
Oh, and I forgot to tell you in my last letter – we picked some
vegetables from our garden finally…
Dear Vicky,
Thank you for your letter. I was glad to receive it from you again.
You have asked about language- learning tips. Well, the best way to improve your vocabulary is to learn ten words per day and then use them in the context. The most difficult thing in learning a language for me is speaking. I always forget basic words or confuse them while speaking because I feel very nervous. As for your last question, it is a great idea to visit the country to learn the language. This will immerse you into the language environment and will make the learning process faster and easier for you.
Good news about picking some vegetables from the garden! Are you happy that you have grown and picked them by yourself? How long did it take to pick them all? Do they taste good?
Sorry, I have to go now. Write back soon.
Best wishes,
Admin
