Printed books will be eventually replaced by electronic ones

Nowadays electronic books become more and more popular. In this regard, some people believe that it is possible that one day electronic books will replace printed ones. However, others are sure that it will never happen.

As far as I am concerned, e-books will take the place of paper books for a few reasons. Firstly, it is more convenient to store a great number of books on only one electronic device than to keep them all on a bookshelf. Secondly, e-books do not affect reader’s vision. In contrast to printed books, it is possible to change fonts or the light on it. Lastly, it is much easier to hold a light electronic devise instead of a heavy book.

However, some people do not share my point of view. According to them, paper books are more pleasant to read: it is possible to enjoy illustrations, feel special book-smell, touch the paper sheets. Besides, this type of books does not require charging. That is why they are irreplaceable.

Nevertheless, I do not agree with these arguments. This is exactly owing to my belief that the convenience and usefulness of e-books cannot be compared with just pleasant tactical sensations. Moreover, it is easier to charge an e-book once and enjoy all its benefits than to carry several printed books and constantly get tired of them.

In conclusion, I would like to state that due to all of the advantages of electronic books there is a possibility that they will replace old-fashioned ones. That is why I have already switched my paper books to them.
