Nowadays young people wish to become financially independent from parents as soon as possible. In this regard, some people believe that it is a positive option to let teenagers work part-time, while others claim that earning money at the young age is meaningless and should be prohibited.
As far as I am concerned, it is better to permit teenagers to make profit on part-time jobs for a few reasons. Firstly, youngsters who earn money by themselves will become more independent and organized, and therefore, more prepared for adulthood. Secondly, they will learn how to control their earnings and spendings which is a useful skill. Lastly, they will receive working experience which will help them when getting future full-time job.
However, some people do not agree with my point of view. According to them, a part-time job is nothing more but a waste of time for teenagers. They insist that it will only distract young people from really important deeds such as studying. That is why they claim that it should be forbidden to work for them.
Nevertheless, I do not agree with this argument. This is exactly owing to my belief that purposeful young people are able to combine work and studies properly. They will only increase their skill of time-management in order to deal with all tasks in time.
In conclusion, I would like to state that having a half-time job is very beneficial for youngsters, indeed. That is why there should be a chance for teenagers who are willing to make pocket money to work.
