Nowadays fashion became a topic of great deal of discussions among teenagers. In this regard, some people believe that young people focus on it too much, though others claim that actually the youth are not that interested in it.
As far as I am concerned, teenagers are too concentrated on popular trends indeed. Firstly, they follow trendy clothing even when it is not appropriate. For instance, a great number of youngsters in Moscow wear fancy shortened jeans in winter just because it is fashionable. Secondly, in an effort to look in a stylish way they spend a great amount of parental money on attributes of fashion. Lastly, they spend too much time reading magazines dedicated to this topic and forget about important deeds.
However, some people do not agree with my point of view. According to them, teenagers do not pay that much attention to mode and style. They just do not have time for it nowadays, because of modern pace of life. They dedicate more time to education than to trends. Besides, fashion is always changing; this is why it is quite hard to follow it.
Nevertheless, I do not agree with these arguments. This is exactly owing to my belief that modern young people have time for both of fashion and education. Moreover, they catch new trends immediately due to social media and the Internet.
In conclusion, I would like to state that the youth spend too much time and money on fashion. The desire to look stylish and be aware of all fancy trends became a kind of addiction nowadays.
